EWSI koncem června zveřejnila nástroj, který umožňuje veřejnosti sledovat implementaci evropského Akčního plánu pro integraci cizinců.
Evropská unie nicméně určuje priority, navrhuje legislativu či financuje integrační opatření již 20 let. Podívejte se, jak se integrační politika EU vyvíjela od okamžiku svého zrodu v podobě Amsterdamské smlouvy v roce 1997 přes definici Společných základních principů integrace až po loni schválený, holisticky pojatý Akční plán.

Integrace cizinců v datech Eurostatu
Eurostat zveřejnil letošní statistickou zprávu o integraci cizinců. Zpráva přináší vybrané ukazatele v oblasti zaměstnání, vzdělávání, sociálního začleňování a aktivního občantství. V publikaci najdete rovněž analýzu postavení imigrantů a jejich přímých potomků na evropském pracovním trhu, z níž plyne, že ekonomická aktivita cizinců ve srovnání s rokem 2014 poklesla. Zpráva vychází z dat za EU a jednotlivé členské státy včetně zemí sdružení EFTA.
Jak rozumět postojům veřejnosti k uprchlíkům a migrantům?
Stručný, avšak velmi zajímavý dokument z produkce thinktanků Chatham House a Overseas Development Institute poskytuje vyčerpávající přehled faktorů, které ovlivňují postoje veřejnosti vůči uprchlíkům a migrantům. Dokument analyzuje více než 160 studií, výzkumů veřejného mínění či komunikačních kampaní, identifikuje jejich společné rysy a poukazuje na komunikační přístupy, které mají potenciál fungovat.
Autoři dospívají ke čtyřem klíčovým závěrům:
1. Postoje veřejnosti k migrantům a uprchlíkům jsou velmi komplexní a pokusy o jejich zlepšení patrně nebudou úspěšné bez porozumění obavám, emocím a hodnotám lidí, kteří je sdílí.
2. Postoje veřejnosti lze nejlépe pochopit (a pracovat s nimi), pokud jsou zakotvené v národním a místním kontextu, respektive v jemných rozdílech mezi nimi.
3. Tradiční přístupy k ovlivňování veřejnosti, jako je třeba vyvracení fám, patrně nebudou fungovat mimo okruh “již přesvědčených”, a naopak mohou situaci zhoršit. Zdá se, že úspěšnější jsou strategie, které zdůrazňují řešitelnost situace a poukazují na společné hodnoty.
4. Emocionální a hodnotové argumenty se jeví jako přesvědčivější než fakta a důkazy. Ač jsou fakta důležitá pro ovlivňování veřejné debaty, je důležité počítat s tím, že jejich přesvědčovací schopnost má své hranice.
Jezuité mapují grasrootové aktivity pro uprchlíky v Evropě
Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), organizace založená katolickým řádem Tovaryšstva Ježíšova, mapuje v 9 evropských zemích neformální aktivity pro uprchlíky. Videa z kampaně “I Get You”, zaměřené proti předsudkům a xenofobii, jsou v prvé řadě přehlídkou skvělých nápadů jak přirozeně a nenásilně propojovat místní s uprchlíky a navzájem se při tom něco naučit.
